Ground Rules

1. The PDRP shall be for a period of two years only. In genuine cases, the Director, ISEC may consider giving extension of maximum six months to one year subject to recommendation from the Supervisor and payment of affiliation fee as stated in Rule 7. The Post Doctoral Research Fellow shall submit progress report to his / her Supervisor every six months. Time Schedule
   • Presentation of Seminar: Within one month from the date of acceptance of offer letter.
   • Submission of Draft Report: Within 12 months from the date of the Initiation Seminar.
   • Presentation of Completion Seminar: Within two months from the date of receipt of comments from the reviewer.
   • Submission of Final Report: One hard copy and soft copy to be submitted within Three months from the date of presentation of the Completion Seminar.
   If the scholar does not adhere to the rules and complete the PDRP within the stipulated time, the Institute shall have the right to discontinue such PDR Fellow from the PDRP. No further correspondence will be entertained once discontinued.
2. Only candidates who have completed Ph.D. degree during the last 10-year period, as on the date of application, with atleast two publications in refereed national/international journals are eligible to submit their applications by  1^st to 31^st of January and 1^st to 31^st of July every year. The aspirants shall forward applications through their employers or sponsors, if applicable, in the prescribed format (downloadable from www.isec.ac.in) along with a Curriculum Vitae, a copy of the research proposal and a Demand Draft for Rs. 1,000/- in favour of Registrar, ISEC towards non-refundable application and processing fee. The proposal of about 5 to 6 pages covering – Introduction, Brief Literature Review identifying the Gaps, Objectives, Methodology and Data Source, should be submitted. The applications shall be addressed to the Registrar of the Institute.
3. The proposals received along with applications will be sent to an internal referee. If the internal referee recommends, the same will be sent to an external referee.
4. The Selection Committee comprising of Director, Vice-Chairperson of APC, Vice- Chairperson of RPC and Head of the concerned Centre will interact with the applicants, whose proposals are qualified and decide to select/reject based on quality of the proposal and the presentation made by the applicant/s.
5. A research proposal under PDRP once rejected, the applicant will not be entertained to apply again on the same topic.
6. Selected applicants shall be attached to a faculty member in ISEC. The faculty may not be designated as Supervisor. However, s/he shall facilitate the work of the scholar.
7. The selected candidate needs to pay an affiliation fee of Rs.20,000/- per year (for Indian Scholars) and Rs.30,000/- per year (for international scholars) from the date of joining the Programme. For the extended period of third year (beyond two years), the candidate shall pay Rs.30,000/- (for Indian Scholars) and Rs.40,000/- per year (for international scholars).
8. The Scholar shall give an initiation seminar before commencement of the programme. The Scholar shall submit draft report which will be reviewed by the external referee. Based on the comments / suggestions given by the external referee, the Scholar shall finalise the report and present Completion Seminar and submit the Final Report.
9. On presenting Completion Seminar and submission of the Final Report (one hard copy and soft copy), it will be treated as PDRP is completed. However, ISEC shall issue a certificate subject to the PDR Fellow publishing atleast one article in a refereed journal or ISEC monograph out of his/her PDR works or ISEC Working Paper.
