The Institute, well known for its inter-disciplinary research in Social
Sciences, is offering a
CERTIFICATE COURSE IN METHODS AND APPLICATIONS IN SOCIAL SCIENCE RESEARCH (CCMASSR).
The CCMASSR is a
three-week residential programme designed to provide participants with a
systematic understanding of society and social phenomena with a view to
equip them address the social issues confronting contemporary rural and
urban society effectively. The course is inter-disciplinary in its
structure and content modules are customised to suit the diverse needs
of PG students, faculty and researchers belonging to different social
science disciplines. Besides formal classroom events, the Course provides
hands-on exercise in statistical methods and a field trip with the
objective of exposing the participants to different aspects of social
science research methods.
Post-graduates, faculty
of higher educational institutions engaged in social science teaching and
research, trainers, senior administrators, business management students,
members of corporate sector, civil society organisations and others who tend
to undertake research for policy formulations are welcome to apply for the Course.
