ANNOUNCEMENT

   


We are happy to announce that the thesis on Foreign Direct Investment and Growth of Manufacturing Sector: An Empirical Study of Post Reform India by Dr Rajib Kumar Sahoo has been adjudged as outstanding from among 18 theses, and selected for the award of prestigious Shri T R Satishchandran Memorial Prize in Economics for the block period 2005-2009.  The thesis was supervised by Professor M R Narayana.

 

Similarly, the thesis on “Aspirations and the Process of Social Mobility: The Case of Professionals in Bangalore Cityby Dr Deepthi S has been adjudged as outstanding from among four theses, and selected for the award of prestigious Professor M N Srinivas Memorial Prize in Sociology for the block period 2005-2009.  The thesis was supervised by Professor G K Karanth.

 

Similarly, the thesis on “Environmental Governance and Role of Judiciary in India“ by Dr Geetanjoy Sahu has been adjudged as outstanding from among three theses, and selected for the award of prestigious Justice E S Venkataramaiah Memorial Prize in Public Administration for the block period 2005-2009.  The thesis was supervised by Dr Madhushree Sekher.
